26 new homes part of a new community next to the Werribee River

One of the first things that you notice when visiting Haven Home Safe’s new Werribee development is how peaceful and tranquil the community feels positioned next to the Werribee River. The positioning of these homes creates a lovely community-feel to the development built by Edgepoint Homes.

Delivered in partnership with Homes Victoria as part of the Big Housing Build, this newly completed community is made up of 26 houses each having a 7-star NatHERS rating, rainwater tanks, individual secure single-car garage, induction stovetop and all electric appliances.

“At Haven Home Safe we are pleased to show up and deliver high-quality housing for Victorians. These homes demonstrate the benefits of appropriate design with the quality of renter lifestyle centre of mind. We have the Werribee River Trail located just behind the development and the train station and town centre just a short drive or walk away ensuring renters can easily access everything the need to be active and engaged with their community.

These 26 new homes (16 two-bedroom and 10 three-bedroom homes ) will deliver significant impact to the people who live in them. We know that community housing delivers more than four walls and a roof.  Removing the stress and weight that accompanies living in housing crisis or homelessness allows people to focus on other aspects of enhancing their lives – community, social connections, family, employment, study or health and well-being.

We are pleased to showcase our ability to deliver housing that meets the needs of renters and their communities whether they are in Metro Melbourne, urban fringe (such as this development) as well as regional centres and rural towns.  We continue to advocate for more well-thought-out community housing to be built for those who are pushed out of the private rental market” said Haven Home Safe CEO Trudi Ray.

Haven Home Safe was proud to welcome Werribee MP John Lister to tour the site and view the new homes and community.
