Robinvale’s housing supply gets a boost with Haven Home Safe’s latest development

This week local Community Housing provider Haven Home Safe accepted handover of 13 new homes (5 x 3-bedroom and 8 x 2-bedroom) ready for renters to move in just in time for Christmas.

These homes have been carefully designed to deliver community living and maximise sustainability. In response to the Robinvale climate, all homes have solar panels and individual rainwater tanks – delivering a minimum 7-star NatHERS energy efficiency rating and reducing bills for renters.

Renters will enjoy the ease of low maintenance gardens, all electric appliances and heat pump hot water services without compromising on liveability with each home incorporating a covered patio area at the back, private car parking facilities and meeting a silver rating on the Liveable Housing Design Guidelines.

Haven Home Safe CEO Trudi Ray recently toured the site alongside Robinvale local and Swan Hill Councillor, Philip Englefield.

“I am so proud that Haven Home Safe has been able to work with the team at Mildura Homes to bring this development to life. This project is a testament to the value that investment into affordable housing for regional and rural Victorians can bring to communities. These 13 homes will deliver affordable housing for approximately 52 people so they can remain engaged in the Robinvale community and not be forced to move elsewhere due to a lack of housing supply,” said CEO Trudi Ray.

Centrally located, the homes are a short distance from the local health services, school, shopping and sport facilities.

This development is part of Homes Victoria’s Big Housing Build and received $3.99 million in funding towards the project with Haven Home Safe co-contributing $1.14 million.

Tenanting these homes is underway but anyone interested in learning more or submitting a rental application (open to people on the VHR) can reach out to Haven Home Safe
