Preston development underway

A Haven Home Safe development site in Preston has commenced its transformation into five new one-bedroom and nine new two-bedroom homes.

This exciting project is being built by Stemcon with Foredev Group facilitating and overseeing the project management of the complex project and shared site.

Stemcon Director Steve Sfendourakis and Construction Manager Bill Haralambakis attended the sod turning event alongside Site Project Manager Sam Persley from Foredev Group.

These new homes will be just a short walking distance from public transport and amenities allowing renters access to connect with their local community and employment opportunities.

Haven Home Safe has received funding support from Homes Victoria who, under the 5.3 billion Big Housing Build, Social Housing Growth Fund are providing $5.4 million dollars of funding towards this $10.1 million dollar project.

These homes are currently anticipated to be completed by mid-next year (2025).

Quote attributable to Haven Home Safe CEO Trudi Ray:

“These new homes are well placed in a vibrant community located close to retail, greenspace and provide easy access to public transport. Here connection to community and the advantages of employment opportunities and social connection can be realised.”

Quote attributable to Minister for Housing Harriet Shing:

“Developments like this from Haven Home Safe are creating stronger local community connections and providing people in Preston with the dignity, safety and security of a home as our population grows.”
