Housing Support for the Aged (HSA)

Housing Support for the Aged (HSA) assists people aged 50 or over with complex needs who require ongoing support to live independently in public or social housing.

HSA is a long-term case management program that helps clients access services and monitor their wellbeing so they can live independently. It aims to prevent premature or inappropriate admission to long-term residential care.

Housing Support for the Aged supports people who:

 – are residents in the Shires of Campaspe, Central Goldfields, Greater Bendigo, Macedon Rangers or Mount Alexander

 – are 50 years of age or older

 – experience mental/physical illness

 – have an acquired brain Injury

 – experience drug or alcohol dependence

 – have increased frailty

 – have a physical/intellectual disability.

How does the program work?

This is an outreach program where HHS support workers will travel (within the regions listed) to meet with clients where they feel most comfortable – in their home or local Community House.

Our staff work with clients to understand their needs and barriers to finding a home, helping them to access and connect with the supports and services who can best assist them.
