ESG+ Impact

We know that housing does not exist in isolation from the challenges of climate change, social inequity or system complexity.

Our environmental, social, governance and client impact (ESG+) approach reflects Haven Home Safe’s commitment to responsible governance, environmental sustainability and positive social change.

On this page you can explore our ESG+ Strategy and ESG+ Impact Reports, which outline our commitments for the future and how we understand, measure and strengthen our impact.

ESG+ Strategy 2026-2029

Our ESG+ Strategy provides the structure and discipline to achieve better futures through environmental and people-focused outcomes. Informed by stakeholders, this strategy guides how we deliver housing, services, partnerships and advocacy that is responsible and meaningful.

ESG+ Impact Report 2024

It’s been one year since we launched our inaugural ESG+ Impact Report which outlines our commitments to create long-term value for clients.

This report tells the stories of our staff whose work every day contributes to a broader environmental, social and governance impact. It also tells the story of what this work means to the people at the centre of our decision making – our clients.

ESG+ Impact Report 2022-23

We are one of the first community housing providers in Australia to utilise the ESG Reporting Standard launched by the Community Housing Industry Association (CHIA) in March 2023. Our reporting approach includes their 41 ESG criteria and utilises a materiality assessment to identify topics to report based on their applicability and substantiveness to the work we do. This approach included engaging our stakeholders, including clients, to understand what they believe is important for us to report on.

Our ESG+ Impact report includes how we are managing our material sustainability topics and provides a public commitment to continuous improvement.
