New Year, New Home: Haven Home Safe Delivers Quality Housing in Ararat

It was the best way to start the year when Tina* found out she had been allocated a home in Haven Home Safe’s recently completed development in Ararat, Victoria.

“This is a real blessing; I’m starting my new year in February” said new renter Tina* referencing the month she had planned to move in.

The five, two-bedroom homes were finished late December 2024 with Homes Victoria contributing $1.57 million towards the $2.02 million-dollar, Big Housing Build project.

Renters are enjoying the quality features of the homes, constructed by E2E Growth Consultants, which have a minimum 7-star NatHERS energy rating, all electric energy efficient appliances, heat-pump water services, low maintenance gardening and individual rainwater tanks.

Each home has its own secure garage, but renters don’t necessarily need a car, with the homes located just a short distance from local amenities including healthcare, schools, childcare, shopping, and public transport.

These homes bring the total of new Ararat homes completed by Haven Home Safe in 2024 to 9 (6 x 2-bedroom, 3 x 3-bedroom).

“We are pleased to continue to show up and deliver high-quality housing for regional and rural Victorians. These homes have been designed with high-quality finishes and renter connection to their community in mind. Seeing the homes turn-key ready with renters moving in is such a highlight. Haven Home Safe will continue to advocate for more social and affordable housing to be built in regional and rural Victoria to make sure that people are not pushed out of their local communities because of a lack of housing options” said Haven Home Safe CEO Trudi Ray.
