The housing crisis facing Victorians requires an innovative approach and new solutions which deliver appropriate, affordable housing in an efficient timeframe.
We have identified 55 sites across regional Victoria where we could appropriately add a second small modular home, affectionately known as an IMBY (or In My Backyard) to increase the affordable housing supply quickly and with quality homes.
We are currently fundraising to build a pilot IMBY modular home in the Bendigo region to demonstrate how this would successfully provide quality housing for someone in desperate need of a safe and secure home.
“We need 6,000 homes built every year for the next decade to turn the housing and homelessness crisis around.”
