Modular prefabrication factory construction has a multitude of benefits, particularly in how it reduces construction waste. Because of the precise and controlled environment, the module components are constructed in, they can significantly reduce waste materials such as timber, cardboard, plastics and concrete.
Our modular partner in Horsham, ARKit, reports that through their factory construction, they are able to reduce their total waste with approximately 3 per cent of their waste going to landfill and the balance being recycled. As we look to increase the use of modular prefabricated construction, we can expect to reduce waste associated with traditional construction methods.
