If you are homeless or under housing stress our Client Care team are here to help you understand your options.
Learn more about the VHRUnfortunately, there are very few social and affordable houses available in Victoria at the moment and rental vacancies are at an all time low.
We are here to help you in any way we can, but it is unlikely that we will be able to provide you with a home straight away (outside of one night’s crisis accommodation).
Through an Initial Assessment and Planning (IAP) appointment we will learn more about you and your housing needs so we can advise what accommodation options are available.
What to expect in an Initial Assessment and Planning (IAP) appointment
During an Initial and Assessment Planning appointment we will ask you questions so we can:
- Learn a bit more about you.
- Understand your housing needs.
- Identify any barriers you may be experiencing.
When we understand more about you, we can make better recommendations to help you meet your immediate needs.
This may include:
- Assigning you a Case Manager (this may be with Haven Home Safe or another provider)
- Helping you find transitional housing.
- Connecting you with other services.
- Connecting you with other organisations who can provide food relief etc.
- Finding you overnight crisis accommodation.
- Helping you with on-off rent arears.
