Vanessa is responsible for executing HHS’s operations across Victoria, ensuring we deliver client-focused, responsive and empathic outcomes in a positive and successful team environment. An extensive background in government, community services, health-care and education, Vanessa brings her experience of designing and delivering highly-complex and large-scale system reform projects, such as the Victorian Government’s ‘From Homelessness to a Home’ program. Known for her effective engagement with high-level stakeholders, Vanessa has a reputation for bringing people together to achieve positive results in challenging operational areas. With experience studying knowledge translation and using psychology to change behaviours in her PhD combined with a Master of Clinical Nursing focusing on alcohol and other drug withdrawal, Vanessa’s research capabilities and practical experience are a valuable asset as Haven Home Safe seeks to have an even greater impact to support the growing numbers of people experiencing housing stress and homelessness. Vanessa is proud to contribute meaningfully to the future of social and affordable housing and homeless support services in Victoria.
