To be eligible for our Affordable Housing, you must:
- Be a permanent resident of Australia
- Have a gross household income of less than $101,225
- Not own any property
- Have less than $30,000 in assets
- Have a connection to the area where the property is located
Our property portfolio includes a range of housing types and sizes from single or multi-bedroom units or houses as well as studio apartments from Melbourne to Mildura including Geelong, Ballarat and Warrnambool. Our rents are offered at subsidised rates with tenants receiving a discount off the market rent based on their household income.
Allocation of properties is in accordance with household size to ensure an appropriate fit. We currently use a Choice Based Lettings system, instead of a waiting list, where people get to choose where they might like to live.
We also accept referrals from the Department of Human Services’ public housing waiting list and encourage people to also apply to the DHHS.
